Holidaymakers snap up bargain £69 Summer holidays to Europe ahead of Eurovision

With the semi-final rounds of Eurovision now underway, deal site Wowcher has launched budget £39 summer holidays to some of the competition's most popular competitor countries.

Over 7.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the 2022 final, and it's already inspiring people to travel to different countries. A veritable feast for both the eyes and the ears, Eurovision offers an insight into different cultures from across the continent, spurring inquisitive travellers to explore the homelands that nurtured patriotic performers.

Now, Wowcher is offering low-price deals on a selection of travel packages to various European countries that are proudly taking part in Eurovision 2023.

From the cafes of Paris where the residents are showing their support for French entrant La Zarra to Latvia, Lithuania and Berlin, savvy travellers can pick up deals starting from as little as £69 per person for a two-night stay at selection destinations.

Riga, Latvia

Discover the Baltic beauty of Riga in Latvia, with its idyllic canals, peaceful parks, museums and historical buildings or sit back and enjoy a beer in Livu Square. As a country, Latvia has taken part in Eurovision 23 times, being crowned as the winning act in 2022.

This year, indie rock band Sudden Lights, who hail from the city of Riga, are representing Latvia in Liverpool, and their early performance in the semi-finals was looking pretty strong.

For fans of the band who want to find out more about their home town, Wowcher is offering two-night stays from £69 per person, at either the Riga Islande Hotel or the Hanza Hotel. The price includes flights from Manchester and the deal is only available on selected dates between August and October.

Berlin, Germany

As two-time winners and a nation of Eurovision fans, this year's German entrant is hoping to improve on coming last on the leaderboard in Turin last year.

Industrial metal band Lord of the Lost have achieved huge success back home and the boys are hoping to replicate this on stage in Liverpool.

For fans of German metal, the city of Berlin is packed full of live music venues and nightclubs to cater to every kind of taste, as well as some legendary nightlife.

Wowcher is offering two-night stays from as little as £69 per person at either the Premier Inn Berlin City Centre or Come Inn Berlin Kurfurstendamm Opera.

Selected travel dates are available until March 31, 2024, and flights are available direct from Manchester Airport.

Vilnius, Lithuania

Lithuanian hopeful, Monika Linkyte (Eurovision)

Lithuanian entrant Monika Linkytė will be returning to the show for the second time, following her first performance in 2015.

An accomplished singer and songwriter in her home country, Monika is hoping to make history, with Lithuania being the only Baltic country that is yet to win the contest.

A country steeped in rich history and culture, the capital city of Vilnius offers plenty to see and do. For those who want to discover the region, Wowcher is offering a two-night stay from £69 per person, with accommodation at either the Grata by Centrum Hotels or the Art City Inn.

Paris, France

Parisian disco queen, La Zarra will be gracing the stage in Liverpool hoping to bag another win for one of the competition's most successful countries to date.

Having entered the competition 60 times, France has won five times and featured in the top three on an impressive 12 occasions.

Travellers very rarely need a reason to visit the romantic European city of Paris, but Wowcher is offering a variety of low-cost travel deals including a two-night stay with accommodation and flights from Manchester starting from £99 per person.

The deal site has also slashed prices for trips to Disneyland Paris, and savvy travellers can snap up short stays travelling on the Eurostar from £129 per person, although prices will rise during the high season.

Stockholm, Sweden

Sweden is one of the favourites to be crowned the winner of Eurovision 2023.

No strangers to success at Eurovision, Swedish entrant Loreen is hoping to follow in the steps of ABBA and achieve a seventh win for her home country.

A popular destination for visitors from the UK, the capital city of Stockholm offers a heady mix of medieval streets and historical buildings, museums, nightlife and cutting-edge attractions.

Available on selected dates until March 2024, Wowcher is offering a two-night stay at the Best Western Kom Hotel Stockholm with prices starting from £119 per person.

Flights are available from London Stansted or Gatwick and the lowest prices we found are for January 2024.

How to book a European city break from Wowcher

Purchasing travel deals from Wowcher is relatively easy, travellers just need to follow these simple steps:

  • Select the date you would like to travel. You will see on the website that prices rise considerably during the high season.
  • Purchase your voucher and complete the transaction. For two people travelling, you will need to purchase two vouchers.
  • Wait to receive a code to your email account which you can redeem online to confirm your booking.

Buyers will receive confirmation via phone or email from Wowcher, advising them of the details of their hotel and giving them the opportunity to upgrade for extra if they wish to
