Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries could see part of its longstanding holding company discount shrink when Jio Platforms lists on the stock exchanges later this month. But analysts are divided over how much of that benefit will translate into gains for RIL shareholders, with some arguing that the much-awaited listing has already been factored into the stock's valuation.
The debate comes as Jio Platforms prepares to launch its Rs 30,213 crore initial public offering on October 21, valuing the telecom and digital services company at about Rs 10.3 lakh crore at the upper end of its price band.
