Hit musical SIX returning to Liverpool Playhouse this Christmas

After wowing crowds on Broadway and in the West End, international hit musical SIX is returning to Liverpool Playhouse this Christmas.

Written by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX tells the story of Henry VIII’s wives, as each Tudor Queen and Pop Princess gets the chance to tell the audience their tale. The 80-minute production puts a modern "girl power" twist on five hundred years of history and heartbreak.

The musical, which won the Whatsonstage Award for Best West End Show and has a Gold-Disk winning album, had a sell-out week at the Liverpool Playhouse back in 2020. Now, it’s coming back to the city for a month of shows.

Suba Das Creative Director for the Everyman and Playhouse Theatres said: “SIX enjoyed a sell-out week at the Playhouse in March 2020 and we’re thrilled to have it back again. We know Liverpool loves a musical and this is one of the best. We can’t wait to welcome back the Queens!”

SIX is at the Liverpool Playhouse from Tuesday, December 6, to Sunday, January 8, 2023. Tickets go on sale on Monday, June 13, at midday. They're priced at £10 to £45 and can be purchased via the website here.
