Scots singer Joesef was delighted when he found out he was going to be the support act for Paolo Nutini at the OVO Hydro next month.
But he decided to play a prank on his mum Polly as he told her the good news by pretending he had some bad news.
He recorded himself video calling her to tell her the news. When she first answered, her video was paused and when they finally connected, she asked her son: "How are you?"
He replied: "I'm good I've got some quite bad news to tell you though...
Her face dropped: "Aww don't! I canny handle bad news! Is it really terrible?" Joesef said: "It's really bad!"
His mum began to panick: "Is it about you? What?! Just hurry up!". He adds: "I'm supporting Paolo at the Hydro!" She screams: "Oh my God!" She then proceeds to use a few sweary words at her lad for tricking her
And fans were absolutely loving her reaction. One said: "This is brilliant and your mum is a legend."
Another added: "Hahahah love her!! That’s amazing." While another penned: "That is the sweetest video I have ever seen. I want to hang out with your mum."
The Sun Is Up Forever singer's previously said that he and his mum have a very close relationship and in his song East End Coast, he has even included a voicemail message from her at the end.
He decided to do this because he said whenever he was down, hearing his mum's voice 'kept him afloat' at times and he can't imagine the song now without it.
Joesef will be singing before Paolo Nutini's gig at the OVO Hydro on Friday, December 16. However, Joesef is also playing his own gigs at the Glasgow Barrowland Ballroom in March next year.
The amazing news of his Paolo support comes ahead of the release of Joesef’s debut album Permanent Damage on January 13.
His current single Just Come Home With Me Tonight is receiving fantastic Radio 1 support and looks like becoming his biggest song to date.
