Fans of legendary Welsh actress, Ruth Madoc will see the Hi-De-Hi star on screen one final time in Death in Paradise spin-off, Beyond Paradise, this winter.
The brand new sister show of the hit BBC One series, set in the Caribbean, will see former star, Kris Marshell revisit the Death in Paradise Universe as DI Goodman. The series will start on Friday, February 24 and Ruth, who died last December, will guest star in the show as Rosie Colbert.
The 79-year-old Neath star passed away after surgery she underwent following a fall. Her daughter, Lowri, said that Ruth loved her new role in Beyond Paradise. She told the Daily Star: "My mum thoroughly enjoyed working on this, her last TV role."

“She told me how wonderful the entire cast and crew were and what a delightful experience it had been. She took great pride in this job, as she always did with every job," Lowri continued. “I find it brings me great comfort to watch her onscreen.”
Star of Little Britain, Fiddler on the Roof and Under Milk Wood, Ruth is beloved for her role as Gladys Pugh in Maplins camp-set Hi-De-Hi, that ran for eight years on the BBC.
Beyond Paradise will follow DI Humphrey Goodman and his fiancée Martha Lloyd after their nail-biting will-they-won’t-they romance reached its emotional finale in Saint Marie in 2017. Viewers were delighted when Humphrey took control of his destiny and followed Martha back to London to declare his undying love for her. Now back in the UK, Goodman will be solving crimes again - but what role will Ruth play, you'll have to watch to find out.
Beyond Paradise starts on BBC One, Friday, February 24 at 9pm.
