Hero FlyDubai pilot describes moment he was stabbed in cockpit

Flydubai Dubai Smit Machchhar

Captain Smit Machchhar successfully unlocked the cockpit door after being stabbed by his co-pilot during a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv .
The Boeing 737 plunged more than 14,000 feet in under 30 seconds over Saudi Arabia before passengers restrained the attacker and helped stabilise the aircraft.
The plane, carrying 182 passengers and crew, made an emergency landing in Tabuk in north-western Saudi Arabia.
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the attacker, an Omani national, was arrested and appeared to have undergone radicalisation.
Captain Machchhar is currently recovering from serious injuries in an Abu Dhabi hospital following the incident.
