Here’s a Simone Biles fact about her Olympic all-around gold medal that made everyone feel extremely old

Simone Biles is (check notes) 27 years old. There’s no way in heck that you’d call her “old.”

But with her incredible, dramatic win in the women’s individual all-around at the 2024 Paris Olympics in gymnastics, she became … old.

By winning the women’s all around at the ancient age of 27 (I know, it’s gymnastics, there aren’t many competitors her age, it’s a younger person’s sport etc etc), she became the oldest to win the individual all-around title in … 72 years!! Fun fact: Maria Gorokhovskaya won the gold in 1952 in Helsinki when she was 30.

So there you go. That should make you or Biles or both feel old.
