A hen party firm is calling for “men with dad bods” to apply for a job as a cheeky naked butler. The company wants to celebrate diversity and offer buff butlers for those who prefer a “cuddlier” man.
Buff butlers are one of Britain’s most popular hen party activities, with usually muscular hunks hired to serve drinks to groups of women. However, Last Night of Freedom, the UK’s leading stag and hen do provider based in Gateshead, is now hoping to offer an alternative.
The company has called for “dad bod butlers” who are willing to strip down to next to nothing in front of a hen party. Matt Mavir, founder of Last Night of Freedom, said: “We want real blokes with real physiques who are body confident enough to ditch their clothes in front of a group of hens.
“Everyone has a different type, so rather than just offer young men with six packs, we want to celebrate diversity and offer buff butlers in all shapes and sizes.”
Like their more chiselled peers, the “dad bod butlers’ would be expected to strip off - with just a strategically placed apron to protect their modesty as they serve drinks and play games with the hens. Successful applicants could earn hundreds of pounds per night if the concept takes off, Matt claims.
He added: “Buff butlers are always a huge hit with hens, and for groups wanting something with a bit of a twist, this is the perfect package.” The tongue-in-cheek concept came to Matt from an episode of a classic TV show.
Matt said: “I was watching that episode of Friends, where Danny DeVito turns up as the stripper to Phoebe’s bachelorette party, and it was a real eureka moment. So we came up with the idea of creating butlers who didn’t have gym bodies, but were real blokes with dad bods.
“Some women will see it as a great way to surprise the hen and it will definitely be a laugh, but this is also about turning people’s expectations on their head and offering something different for hens.
Buff butlers generally all look the same, so we are creating a fresh product. Plus a lot of women prefer a bloke with a fuller figure or a silver fox so we encourage any man, of any age and body size to apply.”
