There’s nothing worse than jumping into a Helldivers 2 mission to find that your saved guns and grenades are missing. That’s exactly what players of the hit shooter have been dealing with for weeks on PS5, with the glitch putting them on the back foot in the galactic battle against bugs and bots.
Now, after a deluge of complaints, developer Arrowhead Game Studios has finally addressed the problem as part of a meaty new update. We fired up the game to find that the bug has well and truly been fixed, giving players some added peace of mind when returning to the frontlines.
How big is Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.200?
At 2.56GB, the short and sweet patch takes just a few minutes to install and comes with a ton of new content.
Helldivers 2 update 01.000.200 patch notes
Here’s everything included in the new update:
What is the highest level in Helldivers 2?
Chiefly, Arrowhead has ramped up the maximum level players can reach from 50 to 150. To reach that rarified grade, you’d better be prepared to put in the work as some players suggest it can take 60 to 80 hours to max out your rank. At this rate, Arrowhead better start adding new enemy-obliterating Stratagems and ship upgrades to make the grind worthwhile.
Environmental hazards
If dodging suicidal Terminators and giant crustaceans wasn’t hard enough, the update also adds blizzards and sandstorms to the ominous list of planetary hazards players can encounter on their assignments.
Elsewhere, Arrowhead has introduced the usual barrage of weapon, mission and enemy tweaks.
Weapon nerfs
For instance, the Arc Thrower’s range has been reduced from 50m to 35m. While the Anti-Material Rifle and Slugger have both had their damage nerfed. By contrast, the Dominator now has 300 damage instead of 200 previously. The Slugger, Liberator Concussive, Senator, Spear, and Heavy Machine Gun have also been slightly modified.
Enemies and missions
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as mowing down a horde of bugs on Helldivers 2. Now, it’s slightly easier to do so as far as certain creepy crawlies are concerned. For starters, those annoying bile spewers and nursing spewers now do less damage with their caustic puke. Chargers also aren’t as harmful to exosuits, and Shriekers no longer create bug breaches.
Finally, missions such as Retrieve Essential Personnel and Destroy Command Bunkers have been adjusted to make them separately easier and harder. Alongside the PS5 error, the long range of fixes includes patches for hellpod steering, exosuits, and enemy troops.

Since its launch on PC and PS5 in February, Helldivers 2 has sold over eight million copies. It currently has the ninth-highest simultaneous number of players on Steam, the digital storefront for PC games, putting it above blockbusters like GTA 5, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, and Baldur’s Gate 3.
