The organisation and security at the Hella Mega Tour show at Huddersfield's John Smith Stadium have been labelled "appalling".
Fans of Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Weezer and Amyl and The Sniffers complained that there could have been a potential disaster with thousands cramming the entrances with many complaining on social media that security appeared rather lacking.
The bands came under fire, as well as the stadium management and the local council, as rock fans complained that the gig had been cancelled a few times over the past three years, so there should have been plenty of time to 'get it right'.
Taking to Twitter, many attending hit out at scenes at the show, with surprise being expressed that "no one was seriously hurt".

One wrote on the social media site: "Absolutely appalling organisation at the Hella Mega tour in Huddersfield. Surprised no one was seriously hurt. And don't get me started on the lack of ladies toilets. @JS_Stadium @KirkleesCouncil "
Yorkshire Live has reported that one disgruntled gig goer told them that the situation "felt like Hillsborough in the making.”
A source told them: "It’s so packed we can’t get into the actual stadium. There’s no separation of people going in and people going out, just huge crowds facing each other and nobody moving. It is a miracle nobody has been crushed.
“I refused to go in in the end because it felt very much like a Hillsborough in the making."
She added: “People are getting angry. I’ve seen a few people shouting at what little security there is and people were booing as we waited to try and get in."
Among those who voiced their "disappointment" on Twitter at the "awful planning" was Northern__God, who wrote: “The planning for Green Day’s #HellaMegaTour in Huddersfield is nothing short of farcical; it’s a miracle no one has been crushed so far due to the awful planning from all involved @KirkleesCouncil @JS_Stadium”
Another added: "Given I've not seen a live band in 2 years but @GreenDay were top top tier. However the event in #Huddersfield was so poorly organised it was unsafe and could have been avoided with proper crowd/queue management. You've had 3 years. Do better. #hellamegatour "
A third angry fan tweeted: “They've had 3 years to organise Hella Mega at huddersfield stadium and its the worst organisation ive ever seen.”
A fourth had advice for others going to the show, as well as slamming the organisation: "I went to the hella mega tour in huddersfield last night, if you do go, take plenty of water.
"People were having panic attacks and passing out. Green Day stopped the show twice. Brilliant show but not much security and felt like wayyy to many people."
Rheeces93 had a final say, tweeting: "#hellamegatour more like hella unorganised tour."
