Helen Skelton's ex-husband Richie Myler shares happy baby news with adorable snap

Helen Skelton's ex-husband has announced his family is expanding after finding out that his sister is expecting a baby.

Leeds Rhinos player Richie Myler recently separated from Countryfile presenter Helen just months after she gave birth to their third child. The dad-of-three has since moved on with his new partner Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Leeds Rhinos president Andrew Thirkill.

This week, the 32-year-old took to Instagram to tell his fans about the happy family news. Re-sharing a picture of his sister Rachel sporting an adorable baby bump with her smiling long-term partner Thomas, Richie wrote "congratulations" and added two heart emojis, the Mirror reports.

Richie, who is a proud dad to Ernie, 6, Louis, 4 and seven-month old Elsie, married Helen in 2013 but the couple decided to break up in April this year. At the time, Helen confirmed the split on Instagram, writing: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.

"He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children."

Fans have since showered the presenter in love and support and earlier this month, it was confirmed that she would be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Speaking about her decision to sign up to the hit show, Helen said at the time: "I'm really excited to get stuck into a fun adventure. My family and friends have always loved the show and can't wait for me to get started."
