Helen Skelton banned from dancing on Yorkshire farm by 'knickers in a twist' BBC

Strictly Come Dancing star Helen Skelton has revealed the BBC has banned her from dancing on Channel 5 and that it will get its 'knickers in a twist' if she even so much as performs a single move.

Helen Skelton has made her return to Yorkshire tonight as the Strictly star reports live from Cannon Hall Farm in Barnsley in South Yorkshire for the latest series of Winter on the Farm.

And minutes into the first episode of the new series, broadcast at 8pm on Channel 5, Helen Skelton was faced with the 'elephant sized glitterball in the room' when her Winter On The Farm co host addressed her Strictly success which has seen her and pro dance partner Gorka Marquez sail into the semi finals.

Her co host Jules Hudson said: "The huge elephant sized glitterball in the room, you getting to the semi finals of Strictly Come Dancing!

"What about that! What a journey you have been on, surely we're going to see some moves tonight?"

But Helen Skelton was quick to play down any chance of bringing her ballroom gyrations to the farm in Yorkshire, as she told him: "I've been having so much fun and I'm really grateful for all of the support.

"But I can't show you a move. If I even think about dancing the BBC will get their knickers in a twist. It will set off a Strictly alarm. Craig Revel Horwood will rush in here and wrestle me to the ground."

He then added: "Well in that case I just wanna say that we are so proud of you and hopefully you will be holding that Glitterball in a couple of weeks' time."

"Don't jinx it - but that only happens if you vote," she turned to tell the camera.

Elsewhere in the episode, Helen Skelton spoke to All Creatures Great and Small star Nicholas Ralph who plays fictional vet James Herriot in the Channel 5 drama, as well as catching up with the Yorkshire Vet's Matthew Jackson-Smith and Shona Searson.

Helen Skelton will be taking part in the Strictly Come Dancing semi final on Sunday on BBC1.
