Helen Flanagan seeks fans' advice as she says baby son Charlie 'will not eat'

Helen Flanagan has sought the help of her fans after admitting her baby son Charlie 'will not eat'. The former Coronation Street actress recently celebrated her son's first birthday.

Helen, 31, shares Charlie with her Preston North End footballer fiancé Scott Sinclair. She gave birth on Scott's 32nd birthday last year at the Royal Bolton Hospital, where she was also born.

The Rosie Webster actress, from Bury, also shares two daughters Matilda, six, and Delilah, three, with Scott. Marking Charlie's birthday last month, the soap star took to Instagram with a candid breastfeeding snap, opening up to her one million followers about their feeding journey.

And it's not unusual for Helen to be open and honest with her followers, as well as seek advice from those who follow her on Instagram.

In a recent post to her Instagram Story, the makeup-free mum-of-three photo of herself, in which she revealed she was breastfeeding while suffering from hay fever. She explained: "Charlie will just not eat. I'm going to take him to a specialist this week.

"He eats nothing and I'm still feeding him like he's six months," she added. "I've tried not feeding him with milk so he'll eat more but he just has no interest in food and he just wants the boob."

But she did have a bit of comfort in the fact she faced the same struggle when her eldest daughter was a baby. "Matilda was exactly the same though when she was a baby and fine now, so that eases me," she said before ending the message with: "If other mums have had this please message me. I'll share the messages x."

Helen also said that her son has several teeth now making breastfeeding that little more uncomfortable. Last week Helen shared a video of herself on Instagram as she held Charlie in her arms.

She said: "I'm trying to get Charlie to eat and [he] needs a bath because [he’s] been weaning. Charlie’s got eczema so I don’t bathe him all the time, just because of his eczema."

Speaking about her breastfeeding late last month, Helen shared a photo of herself sat on a sun lounger in a black swimsuit with designer sandals and shielding herself from the sunny rays in a bucket hat, and said: "1 year of feeding you my precious baby boy.

"I’m not too sure when our feeding journey will come to an end... I am thinking I will keep nursing through the summer.. I think it’s a comfort to him with his teething... it’s great for flying to calm him. I love breastfeeding as I like the bonding ( I know you can bond with your babies in lots of ways of course).

"I like that it’s just something that I can do and that my baby needs just me. He’s likely my last baby and I want to soak this all up. I feel quite emotional about stopping. My hormones are stable when I breastfeed and I love not having a period and pms."

She went on: "I love looking down and seeing his cute little face and big brown eyes... I think it calms me if I feel anxious. Though I miss... Being able to have more time on my own with Scott.

"Being on my own (not for a long period I suppose just having more freedom). Being able to take the girls for one and one trips on their own." Helen ended the post by joking: "I would say having perky boobs but that’s a long time gone now."

Helen, who has played Rosie in Corrie since 2000, previously said her third pregnancy will be her last after suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness that causes severe nausea and vomiting, which she's had during all her pregnancies.
