Helen, 31, from Bury, was feel less glamorous the following day after being kept awake by her son Charlie who turns one next month.
The star shared a video of herself speaking into the camera as she told how she had fallen asleep still wearing her makeup.
She explained to her Instagram followers: "It was my friend's 30th.
"I got home at about 2am and then Charlie just did not want to sleep so I fell asleep in my makeup which I know is really, really bad."
She then shared a picture of herself dressed up at Manchester's Menagerie bar and restaurant, and told how her deep berry-coloured dress was a few years old.
"Feeling more glam last night. Wore a dress from @houseofcb a few years old," she wrote.
The Rosie Webster actress then shared a throwback snap of herself wearing the dress on a romantic date with her fiance Scott Sinclair.
At the time the soap star had darker tresses.
"Wore this dress two years ago," she captioned the photo.
Helen, who also has two daughters Matilda, six, and Delilah, three, told fans she was taking the girls swimming.
And she poked fun of herself as posted a mirror selfie.
"Bedraggled is best to describe me today," she wrote with a crying laughing face emoji.

She made a fashion statement as she headed to The Ivy restaurant for a breakfast event hosted by Florena fermented skincare.
Helen has told how she would be 'sad' to stop breastfeeding Charlie because he is likely to be her last child.
Helen suffered from Hyperemesis Gravidarum, an extreme form of morning sickness that causes severe nausea and vomiting, during all her pregnancies.
But with Charlie she said the disorder was 'really strong.'
In an honest Instagram post she typed: "I had Hyperemesis with all three pregnancies but with Charlie it was really strong so I wouldn’t want to be pregnant with having three young children that depend on me."
