Leni Klum has defended her decision to pose in lingerie for a shoot with her model mum, Heidi Klum.
Leni, 18, and her supermodel mum, 49, were met with criticism after their raunchy campaign for Italian brand Intimissimi, which launched on October 10. The pair were snapped together wearing a selection of different underwear collections, but not everyone was appreciative of the shoot.
Some social media users branded their pairing "icky", while one Twitter user took it a step further, saying: "Sexualizing your daughter the moment they turn legal is weird."
Howard Stern even got involved in the negative feedback on his SiriusXM show, telling listeners: "I looked at it and I thought, 'This is so f**king' out of line. It is so inappropriate. But you can't stop looking at it."
Despite the backlash, Leni - who recently moved to New York City from California for college - insists she is happy with how the shoot went and chose to ignore the reactions. She also heaped the praise onto her mum, saying she's her "inspiration" and confessing the pair had fun posing for the camera together.
Speaking to Page Six, the teen said: "I honestly didn't look at a lot of the reactions. I am overall happy with the campaign and I had an amazing day with my mom."
Leni went on to praise the help her mum gives her in life, saying: "Just the advice she gives me, the way she works, everything about her, I can go on and on. I love shooting with her."
She was talking to the publication at her mum's annual Halloween party, which saw Heidi once again win the plaudits for her outlandish costume.
Heidi had been teasing her Instagram followers all day about what she'd be wearing as fans flocked to get a sneak peek of the Queen of Halloween's latest look.
Each year, with the help of Oscar-winning makeup artists and prosthetics, the model goes bigger and bolder for the fright fest, with previous outfits including Princess Fiona, a rotting corpse and an extra terrestrial experiment.
This year's look was perhaps the oddest of them all as she rocked up in a huge worm costume. She described the costume as "claustrophobic" and was certainly a bizarre choice for a "his and her" look, as hubby Tom Kaulitz partnered her dressed as a wounded fisherman.
