Heavily armed police descended on a Greenock street this evening to pull over a car in the same area where a fatal shooting took place on Tuesday.
Emergency services were spotted in the Larkfield area of Greenock around 5pm on Thursday.
Footage of the incident shows an armed response team on the side of the road with a woman, as officers appear to be handcuffing her.
The footage also shows a police vehicle blocking the road to oncoming traffic as around five armed officers and two uniformed officers swarm the area.
Locals allege a car chase took place before the vehicle was pulled over.
It's not known if anyone else was in the car that was pulled over.
The incident tool place just miles from Nairn Road, also in the Larkfield area of Greenock, where Neil Wilson, also known as Neil Canney, 37, was shot shortly after 1am on Tuesday morning.
A murder investigation was launched after the dad was found wounded following the targeted attack and later died in hospital.
Is is understood an area on Baker Street in Greenock has also been sealed off by a forensic team.
Local residents also reported seeing armed officers at the Gallagher Retail Park in Port Glasgow and on Prince Street.
