Heatwaves end in Andhra Pradesh, monsoon rains likely in coming days

VISAKHAPATNAM: The heatwave that has been gripping Andhra Pradesh for the past few weeks has finally ended on Monday.

The IMD has forecast that temperatures will start to further decrease from Tuesday and parts of the both coastal and Rayalaseema districts of the state will experience light to heavy rain from Tuesday.

The IMD issued a fresh alert of heavy rainfall at isolated places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh (CAP) and Rayalaseema on Tuesday and Wednesday.
