Heathrow warns ‘do not drive’ as flooding causes disruption at airport

Heathrow Airport has urged passengers travelling to Terminals 2 and 3 not to drive due to severe flooding causing road closures in the terminal area.
Travellers are advised to use the Piccadilly Line, Elizabeth Line or Heathrow Express, or park at Terminals 4 or 5 and transfer via free rail services.
The disruption comes during peak school summer holiday travel and follows recent safety-related delays on Elizabeth Line services to the airport.
Heathrow Airport apologised for the inconvenience and said that teams are working urgently to resolve the flooding.
The travel warnings coincide with Heathrow being overtaken by South Korea's Incheon Airport as the world's busiest hub for international passenger traffic in the first half of the year.
