Udonis Haslem has decided to retire after his 20th NBA season, and ahead of his farewell, the Heat organization made him a heartwarming video message. Some NBA greats submitted video segments of themselves discussing Haslem’s career and congratulating him on his longevity in the business.
Among those featured were Dwyane Wade, Gary Payton, LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal, Alonzo Mourning, Glen Rice, Mario Chalmers and many more, all of whom reflected on Haslem’s playing career and their experiences alongside him with the Heat.
The Heat host the Magic on Sunday in what will be their final regular season game of the season, and Haslem’s final home game at the newly-renamed Kaseya Center.

“You’re the heartbeat man, of Miami man,” said James, who played with Haslem in Miami from 2010-14. “Heat Nation will never forget what you brought to this franchise.”
“Nothing was given to you. Everything was earned, my brother,” said Wade, who spent 15 seasons as Haslem’s teammate.
Haslem has featured in just six games this season, and seeing just an average of just 7.7 minutes during those appearances. Despite his lack of on-court activity this season, he remains a beloved part of the organization, and an important leader in the locker room.
He’s the longest-tenured active player in the franchise, having been with the team since 2003, winning three championship and spending his entire 20-year career in Miami.
With his retirement looming, Haslem received the tear-jerking video from his former teammates and fellow Heat legends.
