Macarthur coach Mile Sterjovski says his club had a request to postpone their fixture with Sydney FC due to the energy-sapping heat knocked back by A-League bosses.

Sterjovski revealed after Saturday night's 3-0 loss, which pushed Sydney three points clear in second spot on the table, how the Bulls had made an approach to the Australian Professional Leagues (APL) to have the match called off.
