Hearts striker Liam Boyce is facing a long road back to fitness amid reports he may have suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's 3-2 win over St Johnstone.
Boyce, who has scored 35 goals in 87 appearances for the Jambos, looked in agony as he was stretchered off 49 minutes into the Scottish Premier League clash.
And according to the Scottish Sun, there are genuine concerns the 31-year-old is facing up to nine months on the sidelines with a cruciate ligament injury.

Boyce was sent for a scan and it is understood Hearts medical staff are “concerned about a long lay-off”.
It would be a major blow for the former Cliftonville striker who has become a fans favourite and regular starter since joining the Tynecastle club from Burton Albion in January 2020.
Hearts boss Robbie Neilson is also preparing to be without defender Kye Rowles for an extended period after the summer signing suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s win over the Saints.
Boyce had opened his account for the season at the weekend, putting Hearts 2-1 up just 18 minutes before being stretchered off in distress.
