Edinburgh has a vast array of incredible restaurants ranging from welcoming cafés and award-winning bistros to top gastropubs and Michelin-starred fine dining, but one venue that is winning plaudits and five-star reviews might surprise you.
The Skyline restaurant, which began life as a pre-match dining spot for Hearts fans and guests at Tynecastle Park in 2019, has gone from strength to strength, smashing in rave reviews like goals and climbing up the rankings like the club team on the pitch.
Located in the Heart of Midlothian Tynecastle stadium on the top floor of the new stand building, the dining room is open Thursday to Sunday and has a full glass frontage which looks over the city and a menu that's been impressing food fans and football fans alike.

A quick search on Tripadvisor leads you to a slew of five-star reviews, which has seen it climb into the rankings as one of the top 20 restaurants in the city, with fans raving about everything from the quality of food and presentation to the service and incredible views on offer.
With a five-star rating, the dining room has over 320 reviews, 313 of which are four star or above, leading it to landing a Tripadvisor traveller's choice award in 2022, placing it in the top 10% of restaurants from around the world on the review site.
This followed Open Table naming it in its listings of the top 100 eateries across the UK in 2021, with the restaurant firm praising the chefs who prepare "exciting cuisine using the best locally sourced fresh ingredients".

One Tripadvisor fan gushed: "Food was amazing, the staff very friendly and helpful will definitely be back and highly recommend a fab place to eat and drink."
While another added: "The food and service was second to none , One of the best in Edinburgh, would highly recommend it to locals and visitors."
The popular dinner menu includes mains like their Fillet of Haddock in Beer Batter, Braised Beef Shin and the Seared Scottish Lamb Rump.
