Hearts deliver Viaplay Cup Rangers semi-final ticket update after 13k sold

Hearts have confirmed the full allocation of East Stand tickets at Hampden will be received this week.

The club had been allocated an initial 18,000 tickets for the semi-final clash against Rangers on November 5.

Despite appeals for a 50/50 split at the national stadium, Hearts were limited to a maximum of 20,000 tickets for the match due to "previous sales history" and the "inability to segregate Hampden's North Stand into subsections".

Now, Hearts have confirmed the club will receive the full allocation of East Stand tickets having already sold out of physical ticket stock with 13,000 briefs sold.

Sales had been paused after the physical tickets sold out but they are expected to resume this week when the SPFL sends Hearts chiefs more tickets.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for the semi-final - should they meet purchasing criteria - once the Hearts ticket office receives the new batch of tickets later this week.

A club update will be posted when the tickets have been received.

A club statement confirmed: "The club announced over the weekend that it had ran out of physical Viaplay Cup semi-final ticket stock after 13,000 Jambos had secured their seats for Hampden.

"Sales were, therefore, all but paused until the SPFL sent the club more tickets.

"We are now delighted to confirm that we will this week receive our full allocation of East Stand tickets.

"Hearts fans will be able to buy their semi-final tickets, subject to meeting the relevant purchasing criteria which can be seen here, once the Ticket Office is in possession of the ticket stock, which we anticipate to be later this week.

"As soon as we are in a position to recommence ticket sales we will provide an update.

"The club thanks the fans for their patience during a situation that was outwith our control, and for their support as we aim to Paint It Maroon."
