Vicky McClure has revealed that her grandmother has died in a touching post.
The Line of Duty star, 39, took to Instagram on Friday to announce the news and pay tribute to her late family member.
Alongside a picture of her relative smiling broadly for the camera, she wrote: "Sweet dreams Nana Jean.
"She gave nothing but love, the best hugs, great cuppas, mint humbugs and all the giggles!
"I’ll miss you but I have nothing but happy memories in my heart.
"’Enjoy Yourself. It’s Later than you think’ was one of her favourite songs from her and what a great message. Love you Nana xxx"
The actresses’ pals and fans offered their condolences in the comment section.
One wrote: "I’m so sorry, Vicky. She was beautiful and sounded like a lovely lady. Lots of love." Another one wrote: "Nans are the best. My condolences."
A third added: "I’m so sorry, Vicky. Sending lots of love to you and family xx."
McClure, best known for her role as Detective Inspector Kate Fleming on Line of Duty, launched BBC series Our Dementia Choir, which aired in 2019, after caring for her other grandmother, Iris, who died in 2015.
