Healthy nurse, 30, dies of tuberculosis 24 hours after tragic final texts to mum

A nurse hospitalised for nine weeks with a mystery illness discovered she had Victorian disease tuberculosis less than 24 hours before she died.

Carrianne Franks sent a worried text to her parents after she was finally diagnosed to say: "Mum, they found out what I have. I've got TB."

Speaking to the Mirror, the 30-year-old's family said they were unable to say goodbye as she was quickly placed in a coma in intensive care and "nobody told them she was going to die".
