Health chiefs warn mounting covid cases are again putting pressure on burned-out West Lothian staff

Health bosses have warned spiralling cases of Covid-19 are putting mounting pressure on hospital and community services in West Lothian.

NHS Lothian has warned that increasing cases are causing serious capacity issues across the whole system.

An estimated one in 20 people currently have the virus in Scotland with two thirds of the cases identified in the 20 to 59 age group.
