“He would text me, ‘I'm in pain. This thing, it's getting me down.’ I would just say, ‘You're the strongest man I know’”: Ozzy Osbourne's best friend on the legend's final days

Billy Morrison and Ozzy Osbourne perform at the 2014 10th annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert at Club Nokia on May 12, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.

Aside from his longtime slot as Billy Idol’s rhythm guitarist, Billy Morrison has collaborated with a veritable list of big names throughout his career, including Ozzy Osbourne – whom he calls his “best friend” in an upcoming Guitar World interview.

“Everyone with a heart was crying the day of that show,” he recalls of the July 2025 Back to the Beginning mega concert.
