It has been a tumultous and unsettling few weeks at Chelsea after long-term owner Roman Abramovich announced his decision to sell the west London club, before then being sanctioned by both the UK and the EU. Despite sanctions, there are a number of seriously interested parties to takeover the stewardship of the famous club from SW6, and football.london wants to know Chelsea fans' views on what comes next - so take the survey below to give your thoughts. The events have led to uncertainty whether a sale could be completed whilst the Russian was under sanctions, but it is expected that New York investment bank Raine Group will come to a decision on a new owner after a large number of bids were submitted - so long as Abramovich does not receive any money from the sale.
One bid that has not been received well is from the owners of Major League Baseball's Chicago Cubs, the Ricketts family. A section of Chelsea supporters on social media have began a campaign voicing their opposition to the Americans' bid, leading the family to release a statement to fans to assure them of their beliefs and intentions.
Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section as well to get involved in the debate surrounding the Blues' next moves. Whatever happens in the next few weeks, the club has not seen upheaval quite like this in over 20 years. Fans will be sure to want an owner who is transparent and ambitious to match the success Roman Abramovich has created since 2003 - but will Raine Group make the right decision for the club? Time will only tell.
