Celebrity fitness trainer Siddhartha Singh, known for working with actor Tamannaah Bhatia, in his recent Instagram post discussed weight loss medications like Ozempic. A major talking point in the fitness and health world, Ozempic may help people lose weight but according to Siddhartha Singh, the real challenge begins after the weight comes off. He highlighted an important reminder: losing weight is only step one—keeping it off is where the real discipline begins.
Ozempic and Weight Loss: Three things you must do
According to Siddhartha Singh, the focus should not just be on rapid weight loss, but on what happens afterward—when the body needs stability, strength, and balance. Siddhartha Singh emphasizes three key pillars:
- Prioritizing protein intake to support muscle repair and metabolism
- Strength training regularly to maintain lean muscle mass
- Building sustainable fitness habits instead of short-term fixes
These habits help the body stay strong, toned, and metabolically active even after weight loss.
A high protein diet
One of the biggest mistakes people make after using Ozempic is not following a strict high protein diet. "If you are on Ozempic, make sure you follow a high-protein diet. This is because when you lose weight, you may also lose a lot of muscle. Make sure you are not losing muscle by having a high-protein diet," he says in the video.
Strength Training
Siddhartha Singh said if you have used Ozempic, make sure you are doing strength training. "If you are on Ozempic, you don't want that hard earned muscle to be lost. Strength training will not just make you stronger but will also retain the muscle that you have," the fitness coach said.
