Has former Panthers WR Diontae Johnson already worn out his welcome with Ravens?

Well, it seems as though the Carolina Panthers were right to trade wide receiver Diontae Johnson after all.

Johnson, now a member of the Baltimore Ravens, has yet to find a place in his new digs. Since being shipped away back on Oct. 29, the former Pro Bowler has tallied just a 5-yard reception on only 39 offensive snaps over four games.

Yesterday saw Johnson record the proverbial doughnut in Baltimore’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, as he played zero snaps in the team’s 24-19 loss. That inactivity prompted an inquiry for Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, who was asked about Johnson on Monday.

“I’m gonna to have to wait,” Harbaugh replied. “There’s some moving parts there that we’re gonna have to figure out and explore and just see where we’re at. It’s the best I can do, in fairness to everybody.”

Yikes.

The Panthers acquired Johnson from the Pittsburgh Steelers this past March. He played in seven games for Carolina before being sent off in a deal involving a late-round pick swap for the 2025 draft.
