Haryana batsman slams 426 runs in an innings, becomes highest-ever ...

NEW DELHI: Haryana's Yashvardhan Dalal achieved a remarkable feat by striking 58 boundaries whilst scoring an unbeaten quadruple century against Mumbai in their Col. CK Nayudu Trophy encounter on Saturday.

His outstanding innings of 426 not out established a new tournament record, surpassing the previous highest individual score of 312, set by Uttar Pradesh's Sameer Rizvi in the last season.

At the Gurugram Cricket Ground in Sultanpur, Haryana, Dalal's exceptional performance included 46 fours and 12 sixes, leaving Mumbai struggling throughout the second day's play.

After Mumbai opted to field first upon winning the toss, they faced severe consequences as Dalal and Arsh Ranga formed a formidable opening partnership of 410 runs, with both batsmen reaching their respective centuries.

Despite Ranga's dismissal for 151 by Atharva Bhosale, Dalal continued his aggressive approach, contributing significantly to Haryana's imposing total of 732 for eight wickets at the close of play on Day 2.
