It was quite the return to action for Harvey Elliott at Anfield this afternoon.
After four months spent on the sidelines through injury, the 18-year-old came on as a second half substitute in Liverpool's 3-1 win over Cardiff City and scored his first senior goal for the club.
Introduced in the 58th minute of the match alongside new signing Luis Diaz, it took the teenager just under 18 minutes to remind supporters of his undoubted talent.

Controlling an Andy Robertson ball into the box, the former Fulham midfielder took one touch to control the ball before swivelling and sending a first-time finish past opposition goalkeeper Dillon Phillips.
This finish all but confirmed the Reds' progression into the fifth-round of the FA Cup and represented a first Liverpool goal for the starlet, which he celebrated in front of the iconic Kop stand by rushing over to the pitchside cameras.
Elliott's goal prompted a strong reaction from those inside Anfield, but no one celebrated his well-taken strike more than his father.

His return to the team will come as a major boost for Liverpool, who remain fighting on all fronts for silverware after overcoming Cardiff with relative ease.
