The criticism faced by Darwin Nunez has been nothing short of ridiculous and it has been hard to ignore for both Liverpool fans and players.
But those critics were silenced somewhat by the 23-year-old after opening his Liverpool account just a minute after coming onto the pitch in Wednesday night's friendly at RB Leipzig. That, however, was just the start.
As Nunez went on to score three more goals to take his personally tally up to four as the Reds ran out 5-0 winners in Germany. The new signing from Benfica was clearly delighted after the match.
And while holding the match ball and posing for selfies on the Liverpool Instagram account, his team-mate Harvey Elliott cheekily wolf-whistled for the big money signing from Benfica, as shown in the video below.
Nunez's team-mates took to social media to express their happiness at the striker finding the back of the net in what was just his third appearance for the club.
Elliott, who set up one of Nunez's goals said: "Let’s hear them. Congratulations my friend (Darwin Nunez). Good win today!).
