Harvey Elliott has signed a new long-term Liverpool contract.
The ECHO understands the new terms will run until 2027 and is a reward for his progress at the club over the past year following his return from a successful loan spell with Blackburn Rovers.
Elliott only signed a fresh deal last summer, but the new contract is in line with Liverpool's policy, like Diogo Jota's last month, of rewarding improvements and progress with terms that are reflective of that.
After starting three of the first four games last term, Elliott's season was rocked with a dislocated ankle at Leeds in September but those behind the scenes were hugely impressed with his professionalism and maturity during that period.

Many at Liverpool believe Elliott's stature within the first-team squad has grown hugely over the last months and as such feel the new contract is just reward for that development.
"Love this club, love this team! Elliott posted on social media. "Here's to 5 more years of winning trophies, making memories and listening to The Kop every week!"
Elliott was part of a slew of players who signed long-term deals last summer but the club believe his progress is deserving of a new contract as he continues to see his importance within this Liverpool squad grow under Jurgen Klopp.
The former Fulham youngster started to establish himself as a midfield regular before a horrendous ankle injury at Elland Road sidelined him until February, when he returned to action with his first goal for the Reds in the FA Cup win over Cardiff.
Elliott then started the Champions League game against Inter in Italy later that month to become the youngest-ever Liverpool player to kick-off a Champions League match, at the age of 18 years and 318 days, but Premier League minutes were more difficult to come by as the Reds chased the title in the closing months.
The versatile Elliott could in line for a first Premier League start since the win over Southampton in May as Klopp continues to juggle his options due to a number of injuries in midfield to Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones.
