With the signing of James Tarkowski all but confirmed, Everton manager Frank Lampard and director of football Kevin Thelwell continue to work behind the scenes to prepare for potential transfer business this summer.
The duo will have to work smart, with funds reportedly tight at Goodison Park as Everton continue to deal with Financial Fair Play barometers and manage the move to their future Bramley-Moore Dock stadium.
With a number of fringe players under contract, and unlikely to be moved on due to their wages, the Blues may have to compromise in some of their summer business.

However, they continue to be linked with a host of new faces along with speculation regarding departures from the club.
We have rounded up the latest Everton transfer gossip below.
Who?
Christian Eriksen
Where?
The Times
What?
Everton are one of a number of clubs that have submitted an offer for Christian Eriksen, according to reports.
The Dane is currently mulling over his options, having received offers from numerous Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Everton, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Brentford, who he joined on a short-term deal earlier this year.
He made a remarkable return to the game with the Bees following his cardiac arrest during Euro 2020 last summer. Eriksen excelled and helped Thomas Frank’s side secure their Premier League survival as he scored once and added four assists in 11 games. Brentford also won seven of the 11 games he featured in.
However, Eriksen is not reportedly in a rush to make a decision on his future with the playmaker keen to gauge the levels of ambition and types of squads assembled by the clubs who want him.
Who?
Harry Winks
Where?
Daily Star
What?
Everton’s move for Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has reportedly hit a ‘stumbling block’ as the Toffees want to keep their move for Winks separate to Spurs’ attempts to sign Richarlison.
The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from Everton with Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal credited with an interest but Antonio Conte’s side are seen as favourites, according to reports. Winks meanwhile is interesting Everton. The ECHO understands that Frank Lampard has identified the England international as a player who can bolster his midfield options heading into the new season and that both clubs have held talks over a potential deal.
Midfield is an area that Lampard has long been keen to strengthen this summer. Fabian Delph will depart the club at the end of June, while there is uncertainty over the futures of Allan and Andre Gomes.
Everton reportedly want more than £50m for Richarlison and to sign Winks on a loan deal with a view to a permanent move as two separate transfers. However, Spurs want to use Winks as makeweight in the deal to sign Richarlison and combine the two transfers together.
Who?
Jarrad Branthwaite
Where?
Daily Mail
What?
Sunderland are one of a number of clubs interested in signing Everton’s young defender Jarrad Branthwaite on loan this summer, according to The Daily Mail.
The young centre-back, 20, made just eight appearances for the club in all competitions last season but did score on his first start of the season in 1-1 draw away at Chelsea. Having signed for the Blues in 2020 from Carlisle, where he was described as a ‘future England international’ by his manager Steven Pressley, he is highly rated at Goodison Park.
However, with the imminent arrival of Tarkowski, he is likely to be pushed further down a pecking order so a loan move in search of regular football is likely to suit all parties.
Branthwaite has also been linked with Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, Cardiff City and PSV Eindhoven, where Marcel Brands is Director of Football after leaving Everton in December.
