Harry Styles surprised fans at Coachella festival by bringing Lizzo on stage to sing a One Direction hit.
The former boy band star opened the second weekend of the US music festival on Friday with a bit of help from his close pal.
Donning matching pink furry coats, the unlikely duo drew screams from the crowd as they appeared on stage together.
After bringing the house down with a rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s disco hit I Will Survive, they launched into a rendition of What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction.
As Harry’s electrifying headline set drew to a close, fireworks lit up the sky over the Colorado desert.

The 28-year-old singer, who blew kisses to the crowd throughout his performance, said it was a “privilege” to be playing the festival after a two-year break due to covid.
He told fans: “Life is about moments – and this is one I will not forget.”
Lizzo shared a selfie of her and Harry after the show, where they look like they are having the time of their lives.
Still dressed in matching pink outfits, she captioned the post: “Proud of you @harrystyles. Thank u for having me.”
This led to some fans dubbing them ‘Hizzo’ and others saying it was the “best selfie ever”.
Another wrote: “SUCH AN ICONIC DUO. The two of you on stage only brings life. Love you both more than words. All the love.”
“This selfie is pure chaos and I am sooo here for it,” a fourth fan chimed in.
And Lizzo wasn’t the only surprise act to join Harry on stage at this year’s Coachella Festival, which takes place about 127 miles east of Los Angeles over two weekends.
Country star Shania Twain helped with his first set during the first weekend of the festival, which fell over Easter.
The pair wore matching sequin outfits to sing a rendition of Shania’s hit song Man! I Feel Like A Woman!
One delighted fan gushed: “And this is how it’s done. High quality timeless song. 2 people, Shania 56 and Harry 28, who truly know how to sing and engage with the audience. They need zero gimmicks. Great outfits, not half naked.”
Harry was so into it, they played another of Shania’s songs together, You’re Still The One.
“I’m so honoured to be here, thank you Harry,” Shania told the crowds, adding: “I’m kind of lost of words. I’m a bit starstruck, what can I say.”
Other acts to appear at this year’s festival include Kendrick Lamar, who delighted fans by joining his cousin and fellow rapper Baby Keem on stage for a surprise set.
Aside from Harry, British acts who performed at this year’s festival included rapper Slowthai and Bristol rockers, Idles.
Idles guitarist Mark Bowen told PA news agency it was a “blessing” to be playing at Coachella and said the band enjoyed the challenge of being the “underdogs”.
Saturday will see Billie Eilish headline the main stage, while Swedish House Mafia are set to close the festival with The Weeknd on Sunday after Kanye West dropped out of the top slot.
