Harry Potter experience raved about by fans is back and even bigger than before

A Harry Potter experience which received raved reviews last year is returning and promises to be 'even better'. Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience first arrived in the grounds of Cheshire's Arley Hall and Gardens last year.

Inspired by the iconic Forbidden Forest and featuring creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, 'mesmerising lights' transform the landscape into 'a magical outdoor trail'.

From October 15, visitors will once again be able to discover some of their favourite moments from the Forbidden Forest, encounter mystical creatures such as Hippogriffs, centaurs, unicorns, Nifflers, and practice casting their very own spells.

Thousands of families visited the attraction last year giving it rave reviews, including the M.E.N, which got a sneak preview of the trail.

"Absolutely fantastic," said one. "A magical evening, very atmospheric. Wonderful lighting, music and sound effects. Extremely friendly staff. Perfect for Harry Potter fans of all ages. Loved it."

"Amazing experience," said another. "100% recommend! Every detail was thought through and the use of lighting was so effective! Magical and unique experience!"

The outdoor experience has been created by Warner Bros Themed Entertainment in partnership with award-winning theatrical designers and creators Thinkwell and their partners Unify and leading entertainment discovery platform Fever.

A spokesman said: "This year’s experience promises to be even better with a new range of exciting interactive features incorporated throughout the forest.

"From Hagrid Land, snakes lurking in the dark, a sleeping giant to be carefully awoken, a lake which can be frozen by spells and mushrooms which change colour by wand, this year’s experience allows visitors to truly immerse themselves in each moment."

The event is suitable for the whole family to enjoy and promises 'a huge amount for fans of all ages to see and do', including a seasonally themed village where visitors can enjoy a wide range of delicious food and drinks.

This includes the Wizarding World fan favourite Butterbeer, alongside edible wands, hot chocolates, mulled wine, traditional roast dinners, and pie and mash - all with vegan and gluten-free options.

There is also an on-site shop with Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts merchandise to take home.
