Harry Maguire believes the growing team spirit within the Manchester United squad is helping to get supporters behind them even further.
Following the humiliating 6-3 defeat to neighbours Manchester City at the start of October, United have been quietly rebuilding their confidence and have gone unbeaten in their nine fixtures since. Erik ten Hag's side has particularly improved defensively, conceding just once from open play in their last eight games.
There has also been a noticeable, growing sense of passion from the players, too, such as the wild scenes following Casemiro's late equaliser against Chelsea and the resolute way in which they held on to defeat West Ham United last week. Maguire returned to the side following a lengthy spell on the sidelines against the Irons and noticed the new-found camaraderie, which he believes is helping to bring fans and players closer together.

" I think we've spoke of the togetherness of the group and the spirit of the group and it's something that's really showing on the pitch at the moment," he told United's in-house media. "Which is really good to do, to get the fans behind us as well to show how much it means to us and the passion that we're showing, our willingness to defend.
"It's not just the defenders and the goalkeeper, it's the whole squad I feel like the front lads are working hard and we're getting the clean sheets we deserve now."
Maguire is also delighted to be back involved after his spell on the injury list. He continued: "It's amazing to be back playing, injuries are always a difficult part of being a footballer and to have a setback four weeks it's been since I started a game.
"So it felt good to be back, helping the team, getting a clean sheet and winning 1-0. Perfect way to come back into the team really and I'm pleased to be back helping and contributing, it's been tough watching but I've been supporting the lads, kicking every ball from the sidelines. It's part and parcel of the game, you're obviously disappointed when you get injuries but I'm happy to be back."
