The summer transfer window is officially open and a number of big-name players could be on the move.
Kylian Mbappe's future at Paris Saint-Germain is once again up in the air, placing Real Madrid on red alert, though only a select few sides would be able to afford the figures involved to finance a deal for the Frenchman.
Latest reports suggest there could be plenty of movement involving individuals swapping their current Premier League club for a different side in the top flight, with Liverpool already following this trend by recruiting Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton.
Below, we have taken a look at the latest news relating to the Reds' main competitors ahead of the new campaign.

Manchester United
Erik ten Hag's side are in for a striker this summer to help them mount a serious title challenge. Relying on Wout Weghorst proved to be a poor decision, though it looks likely that the Red Devils will spend big to recruit a high-profile name in this area of the pitch.
One forward who can seemingly be discounted, though, is Harry Kane. A latest report by the Guardian has explained United have 'ended their interest' in the England international, viewing the money involved in a deal to sign the experienced marksman as 'unrealistic'.
United have also seen an opening £40million bid rejected for Mason Mount, with Chelsea expected to demand 'at least £60m' for the 24-year-old.
Arsenal
Arsenal have seen a first offer for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice rejected, according to the BBC and other outlets. The Gunners' proposal has left the Hammers 'unimpressed' due to containing multiple clauses, though are expected to come forward with a second bid.
Mikel Arteta's men have also emerged as 'strong contenders' for Chelsea's Kai Havertz, who is valued by his current employers at £70m. The German has reportedly informed Chelsea of his desire to leave the club as Mauricio Pochettino plans to put his stamp on his side.
Manchester City
The Premier League champions are expected to enter the race for Rice, having seen Arsenal make the first move in the battle for the sought-after midfielder. The Athletic state City are 'actively exploring an approach' for the 24-year-old amid the potential departure of captain Ilkay Gundogan. Bernardo Silva could also be on the move this summer, having come close to leaving the Etihad on a number of occasions since joining in 2017.
Chelsea
Chelsea are prepared to 'match any offer' submitted by Arsenal for Brighton midfielder, Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian handed in a transfer request during the January window in a bid to force through an Emirates switch, though the Seagulls held firm over their prized asset by turning down £70m.
Sides are expected to renew interest in Caicedo in the coming weeks, with Bayern Munich also now eyeing the 21-year-old after losing ground in their pursuit of Rice. Should Arsenal look to test Brighton's resolve once again, Football Insider claim Chelsea will be ready to go head-to-head with their London rivals.
Newcastle
Newcastle are 'pushing hard' to strike a sensational deal to bring Nicolo Barella to St James' Park. The Inter Milan midfielder has been linked with Liverpool in recent times, though the Toon Army are said to have held 'intensive talks' with the Italian international as they plot a £50million deal.
That is according to the Telegraph, who believe an agreement is 'reachable' for Eddie Howe's side despite the ambitious nature of this approach.
