Harry Kane mural to be unveiled outside Tottenham stadium

A mural of Tottenham's Harry Kane is due to be unveiled outside the club's stadium in time for their final home game of the season against Brentford on Saturday.

The three-story high mural, which was started on Monday, is close to being completed on Whitehall Street, which links White Hart Lane station and the stadium on matchdays. The painting features two likenesses of Spurs's leading goalscorer, along with the caption 'Harry Kane, he's one of our own'.

Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, has recently said that he hopes Kane will one day have a statue outside the ground.

The mural is the work of MurWalls, who were also behind the Ledley King tribute on the side of Tottenham Community Sports Centre, a stone's throw from the ground.

Kane scored his 267th Spurs goal in the 1-0 win over Manchester City, breaking Jimmy Greaves’ 53-year record to become the club's top scorer in history.

He needs three more goals in the final two games of the season, against the Bees and away at Leeds, to match his best-ever tally in the Premier League of 30.
