Antonio Conte expects Harry Kane to be ok for Tottenham's Premier League clash against Norwich City despite not training with his teammates at Hotspur Way on Friday. The Spurs striker has been feeling unwell and news of his sickness raised fears over his availability for such a crucial match in the top-four race.
Despite rumours doing the rounds of a food poisoning outbreak in the camp ahead of the final day game at Carrow Road, football.london understands that there is no suggestion of an outbreak at the club. However, they will need to check on Kane's fitness before the game at Carrow Road given his absence from training on Friday.
Training with the rest of the squad at Hotspur Way on Thursday, the frontman was due to attend a media event on Friday but had to pull out as a precaution. Conte and Spurs will be hoping that Kane is in the starting XI in Norfolk this weekend as they are in the driving seat for a Champions League place due to their two-point advantage over Arsenal.

Spurs will seal a return to Europe's premier competition providing they do not lose at Carrow Road, with Arsenal needing to beat Everton by 16 goals in order to finish above their rivals if Tottenham are held to a draw at Norwich. Tottenham's preparations were impacted ahead of their previous game against Burnley with four players hit by a stomach bug, and the same has happened prior to the last match of the 2021/22 campaign.
When providing an update on Kane and if he will play at his pre-match press conference, Conte said: "Yeah for sure. Also because in the last game we had Deki (Kulusevski) had this problem - he didn’t have training with us on Saturday but on Sunday he was good to play. For sure Harry doesn’t want to miss this type of game. This game means a lot for everybody."
He added: "If you remember the last game against Burnley we had four cases with stomach problems. This week I have to be honest we had a couple of cases about this, but we overcame this situation. Also members of the staff for one day they were not feeling so good. I don't know why but the last week and also this week we faced this situation.
"In this moment honestly this virus is the last of our problems because we are very close to reach a big achievement for the club, for our fans, for the players. We are totally focused on the game and the situation of the players, the availability, is the same as the last game against Burnley."
