It's wild to think that Harley-Davidson's annual Homecoming festival has only been an annual thing for the past three years, because it kind of feels like it's been much longer than that. And yet, that is the state of affairs.
As of February 24, 2026, Harley-Davidson simultaneously announced that it's partnering with the organizers of Milwaukee's annual Summerfest celebration (Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., if you wondered) to become the official presenting sponsor of Summerfest's Official Celebration of America's 250th on this July 4th, 2026.
So, it's officially official.
At the very same time, it also somewhat cryptically slid the line, "As part of this announcement, Harley-Davidson confirmed that the events formally associated with H-D Homecoming will now be incorporated into milestone anniversary celebrations" at the tail end of its Summerfest partnership press release. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel jumped right on the obvious question, reached out, and confirmed that yes, this does mean that Homecoming for 2026 is also officially canceled. Doubtless, some fans will be disappointed by this turn of events, even if there are a number of Harley-themed festivities and perks for HOG members planned for Summerfest.
Harley-Davidson's 125th anniversary will arrive in 2028, which should, by rights, mark the next milestone anniversary, certainly befitting a multi-day celebration in its home city. Plans for such an occasion have yet to be publicly announced, but since it's not every year you hit 125, it'll most likely be a pretty major event.
RideApart reached out to Harley-Davidson for confirmation that Homecoming is indeed canceled for 2026. A spokesperson told us that yes, that information is correct, and they pointed to the above information about Summerfest if you're planning to be in Milwaukee and want to party and enjoy live music and fun with Harley this summer.
