Roy Keane has admitted it is “hard to believe” he watched Liverpool concede the goals they did against Arsenal.
The Reds were beaten 3-2 by the Gunners in the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. Despite goals from Darwin Nunez and Roberto Firmino, they could not prevent Liverpool from being handed a defeat in North London.
Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring for the home side within the first minute. Bukayo Saka scored twice, with his second coming from the penalty spot to seal the defeat for Liverpool.

The decision from referee Michael Oliver to award Arsenal a penalty has been the subject of controversy. Thiago Alcantara was adjudged to have fouled Gabriel Jesus for the spot-kick, but Jamie Carragher has said that he does not think the right decision was made.
Keane, speaking alongside Carragher for Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football , gave his view on the penalty incident. The former Manchester United star went on to explain why he found it “hard to believe” the defending from Liverpool, and was critical of one player in particular.
“It’s tough, but he does make contact and you are in trouble,” Keane told Sky Sports.
“I thought for the two goals, Thiago was very poor in terms of his midfield reactions. It is no good having all that experience and not using it.
“Some of the goals, from Liverpool’s point of view, are so poor and actually hard to believe you are watching, because it’s really bad positional play from experienced players.”
