Hamilton Accies have announed midfielder general, Scott Martin, has penned a new two-year deal with the club, keeping him at New Douglas Park until 2025.
The 26-year-old was a mainstay during last season's Championship campaign and helped the club lift the SPFL Trust Trophy in March.
Martin had been in negotiations with the club over the last week and has now put pen to paper.
He will play a vital role in the club's League One campaign this coming season, as Accies aim to bounce back from last term's relegation.
Martin told the Accies website: "I’m really delighted to continue my career with Accies as it’s a club that I love dearly and love being part of and hopefully I can play my part in bringing us back to the Premiership.
Accies head coach John Rankin added: “We are delighted to have secured a deal with Scott that will see him stay at Hamilton.
"He is a real force and character and the fans love him, so it’s another great move for both parties.”
The news comes after the club announced their first signing of the summer yesterday, with the return of defender Lee Kilday from Queen's Park.
More fresh faces will be announced by the club next week.
