Hamilton Accies hero Darian MacKinnon is back at New Douglas Park after joining John Rankin's coaching team.
The 36-year-old is a club legend having captained the team and helped them to their 2014 Premiership play-off victory over Hibs back in 2014.
He also previously worked with the club's academy, assisting George Cairns and Dougie Imrie's under-16s team.
And now he will assit Rankin as the duo plot Hamilton's road back to the top flight from the Scottish Championship.
Recently, MacKinnon has been playing in the West of Scotland League with Drumchapel United.
After MacKinnon's appointment was announced, head coach Rankin said: “Darian is a fantastic addition to the staff we have here at the football club. We have been working hard to make sure we bring in the right person to benefit the environment we have, and I think Darian does just that.
“We all know how important he was as a player here and the supporters recognised that during his time here.
"As a coach I think he has a lot of qualities which can help develop the players and I can’t wait to work with him.”
