Gvidas Gineitis' agent has confirmed there has been contact from Celtic over the Torino midfielder.
The Scottish champions hold an interest in the Lithuanian and reports had suggested that an offer had already been lodged. However, that was said to be too low for the Serie A outfit, who were holding out for €15 million.
His representative, Dmitry Vinokurov, insists that is not the case although there have been discussions with people from Celtic.
“Yes, people from Celtic have been in contact with me, but there was no offer yet,” he told CeltsAreHere.

“I appreciate their effort and am ready to cooperate, but I also have to keep working on other options for Gvidas.
“This information started with saying that there had been an offer before and it was not good enough. That’s not true."
The agent also hinted the interest from Celtic is something that would appeal to the 22-year-old.
“Gvidas also appreciates the interest from such a big club and is ready to see the offer,” he added.
