GTA: San Andreas cheats – every vehicle, weapon and stat boost code

GTA: San Andreas cheats - A gangster sitting on the hood of a car.

Trying out GTA: San Andreas cheats can completely transform the game into something new. Rather than buying weapons or finding rare vehicles, simply tap in a code, and you've got an entire arsenal of guns and vehicles at your fingertips. Like most GTA games, it's honestly hard to go back to playing it the normal way once you start using cheats.

With GTA 6 just over the horizon, you might be trying out the classics while you wait, or you simply want a hit of nostalgia, rampaging across the streets of San Andreas just like you used to back in 2005. In the list below you'll find 80ish cheat codes you can use in the game. These range from basic character enhancements like maxing out traits or granting invincibility, to a whole heap of possible weapon and vehicle spawns.

There are even new outfits and cheats for tweaking the city itself, causing its citizens to riot or arming them with weapons. All that said, here's our full GTA: San Andreas cheat list, along with some info in the next section about how to use them, and how they work in the Definitive Edition.

If you're looking for a specific code, scroll down or find exactly what you're looking for in Player Cheats, Wanted Cheats, Vehicle Cheats, NPC Cheats, World Cheats or by using the nav bar at the side.

How to use GTA: San Andreas cheats

There are a few things you need to know in order to use San Andreas cheats:

  • To activate a GTA: San Andreas cheat, you can use either the code or phrase listed next to your desired effect below. Both work the same, although the phrase is easier to remember.
  • Once you've got your cheat, just type it while playing the game—not paused.
  • A small pop up will appear in the top corner alerting you to your success. You can then enter another cheat if you desire.
  • Remember not to save while cheats are active. Some—such as the pedestrian cheats—can actually soft lock your progress through the game.

It's also worth noting that:

  • The majority of GTA: San Andreas' current cheat codes will work with the new Definitive Edition release. The awkwardly named GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition launched on November 11, 2021, giving us new, remastered versions of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas. We've noted in the tables below whether each individual cheat works.
  • GTA: San Andreas cheats can lock you out of achievements. You read that right, going over to the dark (fun) side will lock you out of achievements. Be sure you're good with that before you start the mayhem, or you'll be stuck with it unless you load back to an earlier save.
