Grieving mum wins 13-month battle to get son's iPads, iPhone and watch unlocked

A mum has won a battle to have her son's iPads, iPhone and Apple Watch unlocked 13 months after he died. Kate Lebroc had been attempting to get access to the Apple devices which belonged to her late son Davey Elliot.

Davey died with cancer at the age of 30 last March, but Apple had not been willing to unlock his devices for the family. Kate said: “Apple have treated us horribly. They would not tell me what I needed to send in to prove I am Davey’s next-of-kin. How am I supposed to send stuff if they won’t tell me what it is?

“Every time you called you had to go through the same details again, it was so upsetting. As his next-of-kin, his belongings are now mine. Those things now belong to me.”
