Greg Taylor names only Celtic undroppable as he opens up on Ange Postecoglou rotation

Greg Taylor has been making a name for himself under Ange Postecoglou with the defender one of the first names on the team sheet these days.

But the Celtic full-back says only ONE player in the squad is undroppable. The Scottish champions have been juggling domestic matters with the Champions League this term. Add in international football for a bulk of the squad and it has been a non-stop, hectic schedule for the Parkhead side.

Naturally, every single player wants to play every single minute of every single game, but Taylor says that is not possible - unless you are skipper Callum McGregor. Aussie boss Postecoglou shuffled the pack for the midweek Premier Sports Cup win over Motherwell and he will once again make changes this weekend at Hearts. James Forrest netted a hat-trick against Hibs with Giorgos Giakoumakis on target twice but both missed out at Fir Park.

Celtic star Taylor admits the players just hope and pray that their name is up on the team sheet when Postecoglou puts the board up before the game in his address to his players.

He said: "Yes, we’ve got a squad for that reason. Every player naturally wants to play in every game but that’s not possible - unless you are Cal!

“We all want to play but equally we understand that there has to be rotation from time to time.

“When the manager puts the board up before the game, you are just keen and hoping that your name is on it.

“Whoever is playing in whatever position, you just back the team that the gaffer selects because we know if we all have that attitude and work hard for each other then we’ll all reap the rewards and get the success together."
