Greenwood Moreland has added to its presence across Scotland with the acquisition of Lanark-based general insurance broker R C McLeish.
The deal is its first since joining the JMG Group in April.
Greenwood Moreland managing director Andrew Weir said the transaction “demonstrates JMG’s commitment to supporting our plans for continued growth in Scotland”.
He added: “R C McLeish shares our traditional approach to customer service and operates in a way that feels very familiar to our team – I am sure they will be a welcome addition and that together we’ll go from strength to strength in the coming years.”
R C McLeish has provided advice to the Lanarkshire community for more than 40 years, looking after both commercial and personal insurance line customers.
The firm's owner Graeme McLeish and his team will assist with the transfer of business over the next 12 months, supported by Greenwood Moreland’s main office in nearby Hamilton.
R C McLeish also operates as an independent financial advisor and these services will continue unaffected by the deal.
Earlier this week, the JMG Group also acquired Scotland’s largest independent insurance broker, GS Group.
